The first week of August started on a bad note, my daughter Sandy tested positive for Covid (happily she's almost 100% recovered). I cooked some yummy carnitas, then and on Thursday I went to the podiatrist, had lunch at Olive Garden (meh), and got some yummy Kelley's cookies.
The second week of August, I went to Kaiser to get my computer glasses, Lizzie went to San Diego for work, and Saturday she went to the theater with a friend.
In the third week of August, we went for an evening walk at the Fullerton Arboretum.
In the fourth week of August, Lizzie went back to San Diego for 3 days, for work and also to see some friends. Later this week, we had the plumber come and change the shower, drain, and fixtures in the main bathroom.
The gardener Carlos, came on Tuesday to remove the ramp in the backyard. It was built by my son-in-law, and friends. It really was a big help for Marvin. The ramp was also good when Lizzie moved here, it helped a lot to move furniture, etc. But after 11 years, the wood underneath had become rotten and unstable and it was safer to have it removed. The patio is a lot more spacious now.
