Grrrrr
I wrote a long post and I don't know why, it got deleted. I don't feel like rewriting it right now because I am p.o. :)
Anyway, here's a video I took of Lulu and her new toy, a ball that makes noises. It's in You Tube because it's too long to download here.
Here's the link if you want to look at it.

I hope the weather starts cooling down soon, it's hot!!!

Estate Sale
There was a Estate Sale down the street from my house. In an house with turrets, lived an old woman with her sons and daughter. There was always a bunch of things in the garage, they fixed fancy cars, etc. I don't know much about them. Marvin said the father was in jail. Anyway, the matriarch of the clan died about a couple of weeks ago, and so they had a sale in their large front yard. I saw it driving by and told Lizzie about it and this morning, we walked down to see what they had, Lulu came along. I was afraid she would bark and growl at all the stuff but she was well behaved and strangely quiet. Overwhelmed maybe :)
It was quite a different sale. There was so much stuff. The main things were hundreds of stuffed animals, all sizes and shapes, mostly bears, but also rabbits and other species. Most of the animals wore outfits.
There was also a long table full of cats, also all sizes and shapes. Most of them ceramic.
There were about 5 or 6 big doll houses. They were rather pretty. Fairly old, well made, Victorian style. Also at least 2 fancy decorative bird cages. I thought they were quite interesting looking and pretty. Some interesting furniture as well.
And dolls. All kinds. Some life like, some scary looking, there were also 2 large prams. This one in the picture had a beautiful dress on. You can see a doll house in the background.
I think I've become somewhat obsessed with the whole thing. I debated for a long time whether to go back and buy stuff (a birdcage for $40.00), a nice piece of furniture that was white with an oval mirror and 3 drawers, really nice (was $40, but I could have it for $30). I'm pretty sure if Lizzie had not been here I would have gone and bought them. But she kept me sane lol. I really have no room for it and I don't need more stuff.
Lizzie took a bunch of pictures and put them in Facebook. I will put some of the same here too. But it doesn't really do justice to the sheer amount of stuff they had for sale.
Today was the last day and there were tons of stuff left. I wonder what they'll do with it.
In other news, I fell off the bed and woke up on the floor this morning!

This and That
On Tuesday, I tried to get Marvin ready for dialysis, but he awoke confused and listless and just wanted to keep sleeping. He was acting much like the way he was June 4th. It is very disturbing, even though I sort of knew what was happening, it is hard to deal with. Kaiser told me to call 911, which I did. In no time we had a huge firetruck, a paramedics truck and an ambulance in front of the house. 12 big firemen came in and worked on Marvin checking BP, sugar level etc and decided he needed to be transported to the nearest hospital immediately, and then proceeded to do so.
He stayed at the Whittier Communityt Hospital ER and after some tests, he was transferred to Kaiser Irvine. He was released today.
My friend Jennifer drove me to pick him up since I hate to drive highways and it's about an hour from home. We first stopped to eat at the Daily Grill in Irvine.
Marvin's brother and sisters have been visiting Friday and Monday. They brought their little poodle Petey. He has a bad attitude and is always trying to bite Lulu.

Petey is Dewey's dog but he seems to have become Mary's dog now. She's always carrying him on her arms, and she reluctantly puts him down in the backyard to play with Lulu. It was pretty funny.
Lizzie was here last weekend, the 3 of us went to Johnny Rebs and had a nice time, she's also coming this weekend, after spending a couple of days days in Disneyland for Dakota's 15th birthday.
Sandy is getting prepared for her surgery on Monday. I wish I could be of more help to her, but she knows I will be with her in my thoughts.
To my readers, I love you all :)

July Recap
July has been a good month. Is the first month since Marvin got sick, that we have not had any emergencies or setbacks :)
It was also the first time in over a year that Marvin drove to go to the store.
We had Tristan come over to visit for a week, and it was great to have him here. Sandy and Lizzie also came that weekend, it was good to be all together.
I had a hearing test and found out that even though I can hear "normally" I cannot hear certain sounds in 2 and 3 syllable words, therefore I say "huh?" a lot. So now you know why!
Lulu graduated from dog training 101 but she didn't get a certificate :(
but she's doing better. She also got a puppy haircut and looks cute.

She loves to play outside in the sprinkler, we have fun watching her!
