Last night it was pretty chilly and I woke up with a stuffy nose and cough. I took some Alka Seltzer Plus, fed Lulu, took her outside to do her business, and didn't feel like getting back to bed. So, instead, I decided to go to Porto's and use the $10 credit they gave me.
I got there at about 10M and there was a long line all the way to the parking lot. I went right to the entrance and told the person there that I came to get a credit (they were only letting a few at a time inside) but she told me to go right to the bakery where they have the cakes and tell them about the credit. They asked for my phone and said yes we have you down for a $10 credit, he asked me what I wanted, and I had a little list made (good thinking on my part) he rang them and then deducted my credit. This is what I ordered: 2 potato balls spiced, 2 meat pies, 2 cheese pastries, 2 chocolate twists, 1 churro croissant, 1 slice of chocolate cake, 1 mango ball, and 1 refugiado. He said he'd go fill the order right away. He came back with two big bags and I said thank you and left, sort of surprised by the large bags. When I came home and checked what I got, I found out I got everything I ordered PLUS double potato balls, double meat pies and double cheese pastries AND a dulce de leche roll.
It was so large I cut it in half and gave half to Amy :)
I have enough food for the week!!!
Thanks Portos, great service
