JUNE RECAP

 

My June mantel

The month of June was pretty blah for me. I didn't do much of anything for fun, just talking to "termite" people, and what to do about it. 4 different companies and 4 different  prices, ideas, etc.  I also spent a lot of time worrying about whether or not to take my blood thinner pills (I will start in July).  ::sigh::

Lizzie went to San Diego the last of May and came back June 3. I spent time cooking for myself (pastel de atun) and that's about it. She went back to San Diego, and other places June 26-28. She stayed with her friend and went to Ramona for a poetry reading.  Again, I spent some time cooking for myself (corn chowder and salmorejo) 

                       With Lizzie, we went to La Huasteca and to La casa del cocinero.

We had takeout from Reventaco, Panera, Cane's and Mike's.  June 26 my friend Jennifer came by and we went again to La casa del cocinero, and we  got back home and talked for a long time. June 23rd was la verbena de San Juan and I made some Catalan dessert and had a bottle of Blanc de Blanc.

MAY Recap-

The 2 top things that happened in May were:

Sandy and Tristan came May 14 -19  

I had a conference with my doctor on May 15 about test results,  I have been very worried and anxious for over a month. We were all pleased with the results.

May 11 was Mother's Day. Lizzie took me to lunch at Amor y Tacos,  and gave me a cute book and a crocheted succulent pot :)  Sandy called and made me a very nice card, and she and Tristan came to visit!

May 7 I went to Dr Chopra

May 14, to the Airport to pick up the family , It had been a while since I last saw my grandson, he's tall! 

May 15  We went to Dame Mas  and waited for the doctor's call

May 16, Griffith Observatory, drive around LA,  Ghost Tour at night.

May 17, Gray, coolish day. Everybody napped. Went to Long Beach's Belmont Brewing Co.

May 18, To see the Padres baseball ( I didn't go)

May  19, To the airport.

May 24, Marty's Happy 64th Birthday

May 29, Lulu had a spa day.

May 30, Lizzie went for a long weekend to San Diego

April 2025 Recap

Checking up my

April  3 - Kaiser. Echocardiogram.                Getting the ZIO.

 I have to wear it for 14 days.

April 4 - Home Depot. Plant flowers. Crunch Burger.

April 6 - A hummingbird made a wee nest and laid 2 tiny eggs. So sweet.

April 7 -  l got her car back. Gardening. Face time with Sandy. 

April 8 - Gardening. Lizzie didn't feel well.

April 9 - To Kaiser. Sleep Clinic to check sleep apnea. Kalaveras Restaurant Fullerton. Hard to sleep.

April 10- Hair appointment cut and color.  Hummingbird story came to a sad end :(

April 14- To the dentist for Xrays. Lizzie is to meet Heather.

April 16- Lizzie to Pasadena for Wine & Songs.

April 17- Send ZIO back. Get cardio results. 

April 18- Good Friday

April 20- EASTER. Walk with Lizzie and Lulu @ Creek Park. 

                                                                            Nice day

April 21-To the dentist for some fillings. Made french toast.

For  Marv's 85th heavenly birthday. 

April 23- San Jordi. Lulu had her rabies and flu shots. Raventaco.

April 25-26 - Lizzie to San Diego. Meet Michelle, they went to Lindsay's Music Sanctuary 

April 28- Home Depot, more plants. Clean house & vacuum.

April 30- To Dame Mas, and Succulent's place for soil and 2 plants.

March 2025 Recap

 SPRING

                                                      There were many rainy days in March

March 2 - The Oscar show. Small 3.9 earthquake in Los Angeles. Nicole saw Ariana Grande :)

March 5 -Nicole came over, but not her friend, we went to Dame Mas and Crumble.

March 7 -To Armstrong to get some plants. Plant a tomato bush.

March 9-Driving around to see snow mountains. Nicole flew back to Barcelona.

March 10- To Dr Noda. EKG. Now I worry about my heart. Mamma Mia in Fullerton.

March 12-With norbert to Farmer's Boys

March 17- Mo came over to do my taxes. I will have to pay about $1000 state+federal

March 19- Tristan's 27th birthday! San Jose. To Cheesecake Factory & Reventaco

March 24- Talk to Nuri by Lowe's. Wal-Mart plants. SS Windfall!!!

March 25- Plant flowers, Amy to get plants.

March 26- Dame Mas and buy succulents.

March 28- Lizzie to SD. Talked to Sandy yesterday.

March 29- Lizzie back from SD with cake. Expensive Farmer's Boys food!

I spent many hours in March worrying about my heart beating too fast or too slow. Darn Fitbit! I have an appointment April 3rd at Kaiser.

2025 FEBRUARY RECAP

Gnomes: My February mantel

February is a short month, but it was pretty busy and fun!

Feb  1 - Lizzie back from SD, brought cake! nice day. Nick the Greek.

Feb 3  - Lulu salondday. Casa del Cocinero.

Feb  4 - Package from Sonia, calendar and ensaimada (not great). Lizzie to Ugly Mug

Feb  7 - Dr Chopra, feet feel good!The Source and Porto's. Love my mango margarita!!!

Feb  9 -  Superbowl LIX, made meatballs.

Feb 11- Lizzie sick :( Rainy days 12, 13 - No internet.

Feb 14- Mini roses from Amy. Frontier tech didn't show up!

Feb 15- Frontier tech came, yay! To Ricardo's for lunch, and to get some plants.

Feb  19-Sandy got here! N's 69th BD, my 60th Anniversary.

Feb  20-Knottsberry Farm all day. Fun! The Cauldron for little plates.

Feb  21-Long Beach. Nice day. Teleferic Barcelona Restaurant. Ballast Point sunset and beer.

Feb  22- Hang around. Girls at "Ghost Tour" Queen Mary.

Feb  23- Brea, Reunion Restaurant. Chicken pot pie :)

Feb  24- Nick the Greek. Take Sandy to airport, back to Utah.

Feb  27- Nicole! Uber. Spend the night, Reven taco.

Feb  28- Lizzie to San Diego. With Nicole to Library and Marshalls. Left with Uber.
